My name is Breslin and this is my story.
I lived with the same family for 8 years before I was surrendered back to the shelter because my family had a child with health issues that needed their attention. With so much going on in the house I was having anxiety issues so I was surrendered back to the shelter. I needed a calmer environment which helps me to be able to relax. I am a friendly senior girl who rides well in a car, housebroke, can sit on command, lived with kids as young as 7 but would prefer to have a quieter home with older kids/ or no kids. I do get along well with cats. I love the snow but rainstorms are a bit scary for me. I was never crated until I came to the shelter and I am adjusting to being in a crate and and doing fairly well. It’s noisy at the shelter and sometimes that makes me a bit upset. I have started showing an interest in my toys and like taking them outside with me when I go for a potty break.
I’ve come along way since I came to the shelter but I need a family/ person who will be patient and attentive to my needs. A calm home, maybe older kids, and my own space where I can chill and relax when needed. Someone who is home a lot and willing to help me transition to my new environment. Who wants to make me a special part of their family? The shelter is noisy and stressful for me and it’s definitely not my happy place.
I’m really a sweet old girl with a few quirks but don’t we all have those?
