Bravo is a young puppy not quite ready to go to his forever home. The soonest he can go home is October 15th. Bravo weighs approx. 3 lbs now. We do not know for sure how big Bravo will get. His mom is a 20 lb cockapoo and father is unknown.
Bravo has curly/wavy hair that may get curlier or straighter as he ages. He is a confident guy and one of the quieter pups. He is mostly black but has brown on his legs, chest, face and rear. His coat will likely continue to change as he ages. He receives daily socialization and handling from his foster mom. He has met kids and did great.
Bravo has no medical concerns and is a happy, healthy puppy!
We are accepting applications now and will begin processing applications after his vet appointment. As long as he continues to develop normally and is eating solid foods he will be available to join his family October 15.
Bravo's adoption fee is $500. He has been dewormed, will receive his first round of puppy vaccines and microchipped. Subsequent vaccines is the responsibility of his new family. Due to his age Bravo will not be neutered. A neuter contract will be required. The neuter is covered by Leia's Hope if using our vet. Visit leiashope.org for our adoption process.
WE DO ADOPT OUT OF THE AREA, HOWEVER, WE DO NOT SHIP NOR ARRANGE TRANSPORTS. YOU WILL HAVE TO COME TO DECATUR, IL TO MEET THE DOG. IF FLYING, DOGS MUST FLY IN THE CABIN AND THE EXPENSE OF THE HEALTH CERTIFICATE IS ON THE ADOPTER.
THE APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED BEFORE WE CAN START THE PROCESS.
IT CAN TAKE AT LEAST 7 DAYS TO PROCESS AN APPLICATION SOMETIMES LONGER DEPENDING ON VOLUNTEER AVAILABILITY AND NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED SO PLEASE BE PATIENT AS WE ARE VOLUNTEERS WITH FAMILIES AND FULL TIME JOBS AND DOGS OF OUR OWN TO CARE FOR.
IF INTERESTED IN A PUPPY (UNDER 9 MONTHS): YOU MUST HAVE A FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULE OR SOMEONE HOME ALL DAY. PUPPIES NEED TO BE LET OUT TO POTTY OFTEN, THEY NEED SOCIALIZATION AND BONDING AND NEED TRAINING (HOUSETRAINING AND BEHAVIORAL TRAINING). IF YOU WORK LONG HOURS, HAVE A BUSY SOCIAL SCHEDULE OR NOT FINANCIALLY SECURE THEN A PUPPY IS NOT FOR YOU.
