Brady is a very handsome and loving 60 pound black tri Aussie. Brady has just completed a 4-week training program and is ready to meet his new family! Brady has worked hard on his social skills, basic manners, and impulse control. He continues to learn that it’s ok to follow the lead of his person, and he’s looking for that special person to follow forever! Might it be you?!

Brady loves to play fetch, adores other dogs, rides well in the car, and is good about having his beautiful coat brushed. He is house trained and crate trained. He has even attended doggy daycare! Brady is very affectionate. He loves his humans, and he loves attention. Once you’re in Brady’s orbit, he will be your loyal friend for life.

At only 3 years old, Brady has bounced around a lot. An elderly couple originally purchased Brady from a breeder. Within a year, one owner died, and two years later, the second owner was placed in memory care. Brady received vet care and affection but did not receive enough socialization, mental stimulation or physical exercise. A family member placed Brady in a home, but it was not a fit because Brady does not do well with children. Finally, to keep Brady from going to a shelter, a neighbor who knows and adores Brady stepped in and contacted ARMA.

For a dog that has had little socialization, he’s remarkably well adjusted in many ways. But he can be reactive to new people, and he is a jumper who sometimes nips when he jumps – a terrible habit. Brady has learned many skills to curb these behaviors but requires a dedicated and consistent owner that will continue to work with him.

Brady will excel with a patient and loving owner willing to provide him with both mental and physical exercise by introducing him to activities such as hiking and nose work. His trainer has already exposed him to agility, which has proven to be a great socialization opportunity for him!

Brady is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. If you’re an approved ARMA adopter and think you can provide Brady with a perfect home, contact the ARMA volunteer with whom you’ve been working. Brady is located in Mechanicsville, VA. His adoption will be through his trainer, who will provide support to his new adopter.
