Meet Brady

Meet Brady. This sweet older guy originally came to us as an owner surrender due to his elderly owner going into a nursing home. Her family was not able to keep Brady so they reached out to us to see if we could help this older gentleman.

Brady is a purebred 13 year old Cocker Spaniel. Without proper vetting for some time and not being neutered, he had many lumps and bumps and one of the worst mouths our vet had ever seen. But after a dental, neuter and mass removal, he is feeling so much better! All of his masses were benign but his future family will need to keep an eye out for additional anal masses that could potentially grow. We are hoping that since he is now neutered, that will not be the case.

Brady is a very sweet and laidback boy who loves nothing more than to curl up in a soft dog bed. He is currently living with dogs (large and small) and cats which he gets along perfectly with. He likes to follow the other dogs around and when not curled up in a bed, he is typically always by his foster mom’s side. At night, he has to have his dog bed next to her bed but settles easily as long as he knows somebody is there.

Brady was initially having some marking issues in the house but now that he has been neutered, that has subsided as long as he is taken out regularly.

We do not think he can hear very well, if at all, but he will bark when he is going to sleep if he thinks he hears or sees something. A quick touch is all it takes to settle him.

We do not know how Brady is with children but he is perfectly fine with adults. All in all, Brady is such an easy going great boy that will be an amazing addition to any family!!

If interested in adopting Brady, please complete an adoption application which can be found at www.seniordoghaven.org under the Adoption Process tab. If you have any questions about Brady, please email info@seniordoghaven.org. Please note that because all of our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file.
