Meet Bradley ADOPED:)

WE ARE NOT A SHELTER. WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE: To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in.

Here is the Dog Application that you can copy and paste into a browser: https://fs17.formsite.com/waverlypetrescue/form028182466/index.html

Bradley came from Cedar Bend Humane Society in Waterloo. They felt he would really benefit being in a foster home since shelter life can be hard on a dog. So Bradley is now a Waverly Pet Rescue dog. He is up to date on shots, dewormed, treated with Frontlline, tested heartworm negative, started on heartguard and neutered. He also has an ear infection that our vet was treating. Good news is that his ear infection is better!

Bradley is about 6 years old and weighs about 30 pounds. He is a sweet boy who likes to snuggle. On occasion he can be playful but he doesn't show a lot of interest in toys or bones. He likes to go for walks but could use some work on the leash. He sleeps well all night. He goes in the kennel good during the day with some treat motivation. He may need a little work on house breaking in a new home. Bradley would be best in a home with no other dogs. He wants all the attention and he seems to like to pick fights with other dogs. He is so amazing with people though. Very loving and friendly. CBHS let us know they tested him with cats and he needs a home with no cats. He is very food driven and needs to learn some manners when it is feeding time and in the kitchen in general. He will be vocal when he is not happy about something. He likes to be your buddy and will follow you around the house. Often times right under your feet. He likes to lay on the couch or curl up on a blanket on the floor. His is very friendly and loves everyone.

Because of his breed, a fenced in yard is required. He will be happiest this way so he can sniff and roam all he wants and be safe while he does it.

9/4/20 UPDATE: Bradley loves to be outside and allowed to roam and explore. This is why a fenced in yard is so important for him and why it is required. He loves to cuddle and likes attention. Bradley would do well in a home that has time to give him the attention and training he needs. He needs work around food and in the kitchen because he is very food driven (which can be helpful during training!) Bradley is house broken and does well in his kennel. Bradley loves to go on walks and likes to play with toys. He would thrive in a home without children. Children overwhelm him. He might be ok with older children (teenagers) but not young ones. Bradley is a very sweet dog who would make a great companion. He is calm natured. We would provide a lot of the supplies needed if you’re interested in adopting him. These items were donated so will include: a leash and two collars, water and food bowls, dog food with container and scoop, a brush, shampoo and conditioner (a special brand recommended for beagles who are prone to dry skin) treats, dog waste baggies, toys, and a dog bed for him.

Will someone please adopt Bradley and give him a forever home? $95.00 adoption fee.

WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. If you have assault, domestic abuse, or drug charges please do not apply. If you have questions, please send an email to waverlypetrescue@mchsi.com

All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $350 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
