Bowie Hound Mix Hudson, NH

Hi! My name is Bowie! I’m approx. 2 years old, a red hound mix, and a skinny 48lb. I was picked up as a stray in SC and I had to search for my own food to survive. I had surgery for my cherry eye and it healed super nice and I’m even more handsome now! You can’t even tell. I was adopted, but they only gave me 48 hours and expected me to be perfect in a home. I had never lived in one, so I wanted to see what was on the counters and kept jumping to give my new humans affection. I also was pretty zig zaggy on a leash. I am smart, like to howl and sniff (it’s my job!) and I really love when you give me affection. Just look at my video of just 5 minutes after learning how to leash walk! I do still have a bit of an issue with food aggression and my foster mama is working on this with me. I require slow, proper introductions with other dogs because I don't like when you shove your face in mine, and then I’m okay. I even made friends with a dog who is selective! Do you think you have the time, patience and love to let me settle into your family? I promise to love you forever, and stick my snout in your armpit every day!! xoxo, Bowie

Please note: We do not have a physical facility and the dogs are not located in Hudson, NH. We are a foster-based rescue and dogs can be located anywhere in New England. All adopters must be pre-approved to arrange a meet and greet, and the adopter is expected to travel to the dog's location. We do not transport once the dogs arrive in New England. Applications must be submitted at HarveysHope.org for consideration. We estimate it will be 1-2 weeks before you hear from one of our volunteers. Thank you!
