Boscoe

Handsome Boscoe is a wonderful young dog at just over four years old. Sadly, Boscoe is now one of our longest term residents at almost 3 years. We give them all the love we can, but no dog (or cat) deserves to grow up in a shelter. Boscoe was fostered early on and we’ve been looking for his furever home. Boscoe is thought to be an Australian Cattle dog/Husky/Chi mix. He weighs only 51 lbs. He is smaller in size than his pictures look. His fosters spent a good amount of time with him, showing him love and kindness and doing some basic training with him. As a result of their love, Boscoe is super sweet and affectionate. He is very friendly with a great temperament. He loves being with people. He is mostly house-trained but may need some reminders once in a stable home. He is energetic and will do best with an active person or family. He loves running in the play yards. A fence will be necessary for him to run and play safely. He enjoys car rides and walks well on a leash. Boscoe will make for a fantastic running buddy or hiking partner. Sadly, he’s resigning himself to the shelter. It’s not the best environment for one so sensitive and happy-go-lucky. We think he struggles around other dogs, but it could just be the noisy environment. Boscoe is a gem. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.r space to open.
