Bosco's Story

Hi there,

My name is Bosco. I think I was named after the rancher who found me. She noticed an animal in her pasture and thought it to be a predator. What she discovered in her scope, was that it was a puppy...me! Whew, that was a close one!

She immediately set a live trap to catch me, as I was pretty scared and there was no way I was gonna let her grab me. Anyway, her plan worked. As soon as I was trapped , she brought me to Lucies. I am truly grateful to her for that. Who knows what might have happened to me otherwise.

You see, it is assumed that I was running around with a pack of feral dogs and was just old enough to wonder away from them.

I was absolutely horrified when I got to Lucies. I was constantly trembling. I did not know what was happening to me, as more than likely I had never felt a human's touch. I've been here for some time now and appreciate love and soft pets from the volunteers here.

It is believed that at some point in my life that I may have suffered a brain injury, as I seem slow to advance mentally. I have a group of canine friends here at the park and I do EXACTLY what they do. I'm just like a sweet little lamb following the herd.

I am canine friendly and crate trained. I am leash trained as well, although I don't generally need one as I will follow my canine family. I would make a perfect addition to any pack, and I will be ever so loyal to them as well as be a loving companion.

Come see me and fall in love!!!

*** We strive to ensure our dogs are going to a safe, loving and caring home. Phone interviews are required for all adoptions****

Our Mission
Local Unity for Canines In Emergency Situations. We are a dog rescue organization, not a shelter or a pound! We are a group of neighbors who, as a community effort, are helping the many strays and dumped dogs in the area. We take them in, care for them, feed - vaccinate - worm - socialize, and try to find them forever home...
