Bosco knows how to sit, only comes up on furniture when invited, loves walks and is comfortable in his crate. (In fact, we think he might have been crate trained.) He gets along well with other dogs and takes their cues well. Loves all people and asks for hugs and scratches.
No other dog could probably be a nicer, friendly and cuddly dog than Bosco. He is also a barker. Although the amount and intensity has decreased drastically in the short time while in foster care, His barking has been managed by walks, reassurance, when asked to go in his crate and through other means, but he is still a work in progress. He needs a compassionate adopter who will help him become more secure.
Bosco relishes being loved. Although fine in a single-human household, his forever home would be great in with more people around, as this means more people to love on him. While in foster care has not been around kids but is a sturdy type who has never shown aggression, so we think he would be ok with school-age kids. Since he seems to have a prey instinct, as he is committed to making sure the back yard will not be infiltrated by bunnies and squirrels. As such, he would probably not be fitting in a household with cats
Bosco is neutered and up to date on shots. He is being fostered in Somerville, MA. His adoption fee is $250. If you are interested, please go to Alldorescue.org and fill out an adoption application.
