Meet Bootz! She’s an adorable and sweet 3-month-old, 4 lb Maltese/Terrier mix.<br/><br/>Bootz comes from Bakersfield. Her mama hadn’t been spayed and ended up having five puppies from several litters—so one dog became six. Feeling overwhelmed, her previous owner decided to surrender the entire little family. The city shelter in Bakersfield is so overcrowded and stretched beyond its limits, and thousands of unwanted dogs are euthanized each year simply because there isn’t enough space.
