Sweet Boots is a 9 year old female German Shepherd/Labrador mix that had been living a nice, content life until the sudden health issues of her owner has caused her to need a new home. Boots is a good size dog weighing 55 pounds with a nice thick smooth black and white coat. Her owner had been involved with animal rescue in the Tuscaloosa area so we want to find a good home for this super dog. Boots is used to living inside with another dog and spending time outside in a fenced in yard. Her companion, Zig Zag, is also needing a new home but they do not have to go together. Boots is house trained and is comfortable in a crate - with the door kept opened! She has nice energy for her age and enjoys the company of another dog. We do not believe an apartment setting would work for Boots. She is used to a rather quiet environment with an older person. She does well with children, yet due to her size, may be better with children 6 and older so she doesn't inadvertently knock them over. Boots is spayed and is heartworm negative.

Boots will need some time to adjust to this big change in her life but luckily dogs are very adaptable. She will be loyal and love her new owner just like she did her last one.

Our adoption fee is $75. Read more information on our adoption process at [www.humanesocietyofwa.org/howtoadopt.html](http://www.humanesocietyofwa.org/howtoadopt.html).
