Description: Boone landed at the shelter in southern Indiana. He’s been with his foster since June, undergone treatment and tested negative on September 27th! Boone is bit attached to his person and can demonstrate separation anxiety. The vet feels that as he gets more exercise this could diminish. For now, Boone needs some room to run and his human by his side. He loves to spend time in the back yard and plays with the other dogs. He gets along with children but sometimes doesn’t know how to be subdued; so children over 6. Did we mention that Boone is a counter surfer? Keep all treats and dinner far out of reach!

Boone doesn’t particularly like the crate-he had to spend sooo much time in it for his treatment. Boone is high energy but not a candidate for hunting. He loves to be in the yard or in the house with his favorite person; the vet thinks he picked his person who spent so much time caring for him.

Boone can be a bit clumsy at times. He will try and find his comfy spot on the couch but ends up rolling all over and will eventually slip off the couch. He also loves eating time. He knows right where to go and will hop up and down making his ears flap like a bird. It's very cute to see and puts a smile on your face.

Boone is a playful and active young man with a high prey drive. He is in a home with 3 other English setters and enjoys playing with the 2 females. He also lives with 5 guinea pigs and doesn't show them much interest unless one of the other dogs shows it first. He is so loyal and wants very badly to be a member of the pack. One of his favorite things is getting ear rubs from his people.

When thinking about Boone, remember he hasn’t much time to explore his surroundings and self. He would love an active family, a fur sibling to wrestle and a run outside. Boone is lovable and goofy and definitely would prefer his favorite person doing favorite things.
