Boomer is a special dog looking for a patient, loving family! He came to Foothills Humane Society with his two sisters in January of 2019. All three were very under-socialized and had little contact with humans. It took time for us to earn their trust. Boomer was the most frightened and just sat in the corner shaking.

Boomer now loves going for walks with people he knows and has become confident enough to lead, but he always checks in with you. It was pretty scary for him to go for walks without another dog, but he's now mastered that! He has a funny sense of humor and likes to steal his sister’s toys and hide them, but doesn’t mind if she takes them back! He loves to play chase with other dogs and his trusted human friends! He is still extremely shy with new people, but after meeting you a few times he comes around.

Boomer is looking for a quiet, low drama home (without children under the age of 12) with an outgoing dog friend or two, a fenced yard, and people that will give him a little time to settle in and get used to a big change! As comfortable as he has gotten with us, he will need time to adjust to a new home. It would be best if you lived fairly close and could commit to at least 2-3 visits. His trainer will provide 3 free sessions to introduce him and go over the best ways to acclimate him to your home.
