Booger American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Allentown, PA

Klaus was found as a stray in Brooklyn. Officers stated that a man brought in a dog to the 71st Precinct that was found wandering around. The police then brought the dog to ACC. After arriving to the center they stated the dog traveled easily in the car and while in the center he remained curious of all of his surroundings. He was easily leashed and was easily taken to his kennel.

This is the report from the Police in Brooklyn in February.

He was. brought to the New York Animal Care Centers (NYCACC) and quickly went on to the euthanasia list due to him being very nervous at the shelter.

At the shelter he mastered the head tilt, friendly with all handlers but needed a brush up with his manners.

We are so fortunate that an amazing family stepped up to save his life.

His foster says: He is a sweet boy, that was not taught manners previously. Food motivated (good for training). I figured out a way to get things off him that he shouldn’t have. He likes to watch tv. Loves being with people. The foster is working on some Separation Anxiety and some resource guarding,

QUIRKS: Klaus LOVES tennis balls! He will chase after them, collect them into a pile and try to fit as many as possible into his mouth. His current record is 3 (even if for only a millisecond). Whoever adopts him should be prepared to buy stock in them. Loves to give kisses. Great at head tilts. Does not like the rain.

Booger would best do in a home with a family where he is part of the action. He loves to b part of a family. He also needs someone to continue to work on his obedience training and an active person that does a lot of hiking or running.
