Meet Boo

Hi, my name is Boo! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Boisterous, energetic, always on the go-go-go!, sensitive/anxious in new situations/with new people
-Can Live with Kids: No, I will need an adult-only home
-Can Live with Cats: No, I would likely chase/overwhelm them
-Can Live with Dogs: No, I will need to be the only dog in the home. I become easily overstimulated and would likely escalate most dog interactions into fights.
-Can do Apartment Living: No, I'm way too much dog for an apartment. I would do best in a home with a big fenced yard.
-Potty Trained: Yes, according to previous owner
-Bite History: Yes, ask staff for more details. (It seems his bites were playful and never out of aggression, but did break skin.)
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes, 1 - 3 private lessons depending on adopter experience
-Energy Level: HIGH
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, a neuter

Additional Information: Boo is A LOT of dog! This big guy has had no formal training whatsoever and it shows. He's got a sweet disposition, but is also very large and very rowdy. Boo will need someone who is physically strong and capable of handling him on leash. He will also need someone who is patient and understanding of the fact that he's not a bad boy, he just needs help with his manners.

Boo can be a little uncomfortable in new situations and is likely not a dog who will do well on outings where there are lots of people and/or other dogs (ie. breweries, restaurants, crowded hiking trails, etc.). These outings might be okay once he's been socialized and has had some consistent training. If you'd like to meet this goofball, the first step is filling out an adoption application. Our staff will then review you application to ensure it's a good match before setting up an introduction.
