Bonnie's Story

Meet Bonnie

Bonnie is a 5-year-old Great Pyrenees. This sweet girl has had a tough life filled with lots of moves and uncertainty, but she’s ready to settle down and finally find a forever home to call her own.

Bonnie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and on Heartworm prevention. She did test positive for Lyme disease, but she’s never shown any symptoms and is doing wonderfully.

She absolutely loves people and kids, and she gets along well with other dogs and cats. However, because Bonnie hasn’t always known when her next meal would come, she can show food aggression toward other dogs. This is understandable given her past — it’s a survival instinct, not bad behavior.

Tip for Helping a Dog with Food Aggression:
Feed dogs separately in calm, consistent environments. Give each dog their own space — even in different rooms or crates — to eat without feeling threatened. Over time, this helps build trust and reduces anxiety around food.

Bonnie is such a loving, gentle girl who deserves the peace and security she’s been missing. She’s ready to share her love and loyalty with a family that will cherish her.

If you’re interested in adopting Bonnie, please fill out an adoption application on our website.
