Bonnie's Story
Meet Bonnie – A Gentle Soul Ready to Bloom

Bonnie (affectionately called Bon Bon) is a quiet, sweet-natured girl who is still learning to trust the world around her. Rescued from an uncertain past, she is taking small but steady steps toward becoming the confident, loving dog we know she can be.

Shy at first, Bonnie thrives in a calm and patient environment. With gentle guidance and time, she begins to open up—and when she does, she reveals her affectionate and loyal nature. She enjoys belly rubs, cozy snuggles, sunbathing, and rolling around in the grass.

Bonnie is crate trained, and sleeps through the night. She is still working through her fears of leashes and doorways, so a fenced yard where she can safely explore would be ideal.

She tends to bond more easily with women and requires slow, positive introductions to new people, particularly men. She is not aggressive—just cautious and unsure. Once she feels secure, she becomes deeply devoted.
Bonnie would do well as an only pet or with a calm, respectful dog of similar size or larger. She is still learning how to play and is just beginning to enjoy toys.

Bonnie’s Ideal Home:

- Quiet, patient, and structured environment
- Fenced yard preferred (not required if she receives proper exercise)
- No cats
- Older, respectful children (due to her fearful nature)
- A calm dog companion, or opportunities to interact with friendly neighborhood dogs

Training & Traits:
- Crate trained
- Sleeps well overnight
- Food-motivated
- Knows “no”; working on “come” and “sit”
- Not yet confident on leash, but improving
- Low energy—enjoys slow strolls and relaxing at home

Bonnie has already come a long way and is ready for her next chapter. She simply needs someone who will see her potential, respect her boundaries, and allow her to progress at her own pace. If you are looking for a loyal, quiet companion with a heart of gold, Bonnie may be the perfect match for you.
