Meet Bonnie

Bonnie is a female 11 month old 40 lb. cattle dog. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on shots and preventatives. Don't let this cute face fool you, she is still a cattle dog pup and will need lots of patience and understanding. She is medium energy. She enjoys squirrel watching, being with her people and romping with her foster sister. She is dog selective and would do best with a playful submissive dog companion or as an only dog. She is very curious about our resident cat and likes to chase her, so a cat free home would be ideal. She absolutely loves every person she meets but is very fearful so would do best with older children.

We have been working on potty training and she has done great with a schedule but may still have an accident here or there. Bonnie suffers from severe separation anxiety to the point where she broke out of her crate and went through a screen window to come find us. Therefore, she requires a family with owners who are home the majority of the day (work from home, retired, etc). She does settle into her crate well at night when she knows her people are in the same room. She is a true velcro dog and wants to be with her people 24/7. She will need to go to a home that can build her confidence, trust and help her to overcome her separation anxiety. Cattle dog experience preferred.
