Bondok (meaning Hazelnut - for his color of his fur) came all the way from Cairo and is about 6 years old, Egypt in the hope for a better live. He was badly injured when he was hit by a car as a puppy and left on the street to die. No one stopped for him and took care of him until someone from ESMA - Egyptian Society for Mercy to Animals - ; saw him. His concussion was so bad that he was unable to walk for a long time. He still has a funny walk but it does not bother him on bit. He also has trouble seeing since his eyesight was damaged too. He needs guidance with stairs, so a house with lots and long stairs would not be good for him. For the fact that his eyesight is limited he does get around very well with no assistance.
HE IS NOT A DOG THAT WILL WALK ON A LEASH - HE NEEDS A FENCED YARD.
He is a funny little guy with a lot of spark and lots of live in him. He would do best with one more dog or alone. He loves human attention and if you are looking for a dog to hang out with he would be it.....

Dogs and cats that get hit by cars in Cairo, Egypt get no help at all. No one will stop and check on them or bring them to the vet. They lay on or in the street until the are dead. So ESMA has devoted their efforts in saving them but with not home for injured animals they will end up in big shelters or back on the streets. So Mona - my friend - ask me if I could help and we brought Bondok to the US.
