Firebolt (“Bolt” for short) is a 60-pound, red sable German Shepherd. Firebolt resides with four cats, who love to snuggle with him. He is good with dogs he knows and has done well with introductions to new dogs.

He is currently on raw food diet but can be switched to regular food. Bolt does take a daily allergy medication. He has had hips and elbows scanned and is negative for dysplasia, along with no known family history. Bolt has been genetically tested for DM (degenerative myelopathy) and does not carry the gene.

Bolt is high energy, he will play fetch as often as he can. He does great on bike rides and runs. He is trained to walk in heel position but needs occasional reinforcement.

Bolt is a very happy dog who just wants to spend time with his people. Bolt is microchipped and AKC registered. He knows basic commands and a few ASL commands as well (sit, down, stay).


Bolt will be adopted to a family with children over 14 years, that will feed a nutritional diet and ensure he receives the daily physcial exersion he needs.
