The humans call me Bolin. I would best describe myself as 83 pounds of cuddle and snooze who’s a sucker for stuffed toys and soft blankets to curl up on. I’m super cute in my frog pose on the ground with my front paws sticking out in opposite directions. I’m also very friendly! It doesn’t matter if it’s old friends or brand-new friends, I just trot up to say hello and get petted. I’m usually not that interested in other dogs, cats or squirrels, but I do love chewing on or playing fetch with my stuffed squeaker toys. I’m also fond of my Kong, even when it doesn't have any food in it. I’m crate and leash trained, and my current focus is on learning to sit, stay down, shake and come. In order to qualify for ALIVE Rescue Memphis's program all of the following steps must be met:

•You must be at least 21 years of age and be able to provide ALIVE with proof of age.

•Any current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and be spayed/neutered. Exceptions to this will only be considered if proof of a medical explanation is provided.

•If you currently rent, you must provide a landlord’s phone number and a copy of your executed lease.

•All members of the family living in the home where the animal will be placed must be interviewed.

•Applicant must live within 50 miles of Memphis if interested in adopting and within 30 miles of Memphis if interested in fostering.

•Allow an ALIVE Rescue Memphis representative into your home for a visit to insure that your home is safe for the potential new pet.

•You must be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment, and proper care for a pet.

•Currently, adoptions fees in Memphis are $275 for a dog over 4 months of age, $300 for a dog under 4 months of age.

•We require an additional $75 training deposit at the time of adoption. You will be required to enroll and complete a training class with your new companion at one of our approved training facilities. Once ALIVE Rescue Memphis receives proof of the completed class, this $75 deposit will be refunded.
