Bohdi Goldendoodle & Saint Bernard Mix Murphysboro, IL

Bohdi might be a Goldendoodle/Saint Bernard mix, but when you meet him you see nothing but GOLD! This guy has all the traits of a happy, charming, outgoing, loyal and smart Golden Retriever. And yes, he loves to retrieve for you! It just so happens all that perfection is wrapped up into a tall, dark and lusciously coated mixed breed boy.

Bohdi doesn't know a stranger. He's happy making best friends wherever he goes, 4 legs or 2! Although Bohdi didn't have much socialization in his first part of life, he builds confidence so quickly and thrives on reassurance from his person. His first day in rescue he walked through a store with lots of people, carts and new sounds and was STELLAR! He is very good on a leash, mostly because he is so in-tune with checking in on his human. At only 7 months old, Bohdi has phenomenal recall and currently gets to enjoy a lot of off leash time and *thinking* about swimming in the pond. He's getting there! Bohdi is a very quiet boy and does wonderfully in a kennel or crate. His foster has heard him bark twice and both times were when he was trying to initiate play with another dog. He is potty trained but will need some consistency in his new routine once going to his new home...he's only a puppy but wants to do his very best!

Bohdi loves children but does forget sometimes that he is a big boy at 55lbs...and growing! He is young and excited about life! Bohdi would be an AMAZING hiking, running, walking, biking partner. He will do best in a home where he has mental and physical stimulation. He would also LOVE to have another playful dog to share his forever with. Bohdi is extremely food motivated...did we mention he's all things Golden...and would be quite content to work for food all day long. His foundational training was very minimal when joining STAAR but is working on the basics and general patience and in true Bohdi fashion, is exceeding expectations. Bohdi is going to be a perfect, loyal family dog with continued training and activity. He thrives on human affection and approval. Bohdi is such a fantastic boy and he can't wait to find a family that loves him and his amazing wavy coat as much as he loves them!

Bohdi is scheduled to be neutered on June 18th. His adoption fee includes his neuter, microchip, heartworm/tick borne illness testing, vaccines, dewormings and flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Reach out to us with any questions about our big boy, Bohdi!
