Meet Bobby PUPDATE! PUPDATE!

PUPDATE: Bobby has been spending time with a local trainer Wak-9 Training and he is doing awesome. Very willing, smart and fast learner. He has taken him to several public places meeting new people and getting him out and about in the world to be a more well rounded dog. He would really love a forever home or even a foster as he is not doing well in a kennel situation and he is going kennel crazy. Once he is focused, he settles down.

PUPDATE:
Bobby had a playday with Jam, another one of our dogs here and they get along great! We will put them together periodically to see how they do. She matches his energy and they both run and play and get their energy out.

Bobby came in as a stray with his friend Ricky and sadly they were never claimed. Bobby is a bit of a "project" dog in that he is uber stressed here at the shelter. It is hard to see the dog he can be or the dog within as all the chaos here isn't showing us the best behaviors all the time although he never shows aggression. But he is trying and with time and patience he will be someone's best friend. With those he knows, sometimes he can be quite jumpy and demanding of attention and petting but he settles nicely and enjoys calm petting. The trainer does not recommend a home with young children, perhaps he can be around dog savvy older kids. He will take treats, and when he is calm he will sit on cue. He has been worked with walking on a leash and he is doing very well with not pulling. He has been with other dogs, and if he could learn good manners from a balanced female dog, that would be the best. Definitely not a "plug in and play" dog! He also would need a secured fenced yard because he is athletic and bold.
