Meet Bobby
Bobby was known as a devoted mother of her three pups that were sent to to our partner group, Korean K9 Rescue in NYC. All of them found loving homes living the best life currently. Bobby however, was very sad saying good bye to her babies, and tried to escape by climbing the 6' tall fences at our rescued center in Bundang, Korea. Here's her story:
One of our rescuers in Kangreung received a call that there seems to be a dog at an empty house after a family moved out of the house. Surely, when the rescuer went to check out the home, she found pregnant Bobby. Bobby was a loving mother, and devoted herself to her three pups. After her pups became a little older, we decided to send them to NYC to get adopted. We knew at that time that Bobby was diagnosed with the heartworm, and thought she would be better off being treated without her playful pups since she needed to be completely rested. Bobby had a hard time being separated with her pups and went out to the backyard every night at our facility, crying and howling for her pups, which was heartbreaking. After her treatment, she arrived to our DVM area in the US, and she made such a remarkable transformation from a sad mother to a fun and playful pup herself!
As most of Beagles' personality present, Bobby is playful, inquisitive and loving dog. She loves playing with other dogs, loves to run around, and she has become a friendly new neighbor to foster mom's dog park that everyone loves. She is friendly to everyone, and loves people. She will make a family dog, or a companion to a person who lives in an apartment as long as she would be given plenty of exercise and walks. Because she was diagnosed with a heart murmur and was treated, she will have to take monthly heartguard for life (who doesn't, right?) but other than that, she received thumbs up from the vet, and she is ready for her forever home!
We believe people who adopt rescue animals because they are willing to accept a bit of imperfection, and willing to embrace, work/ train and love them no matter what baggage the animal had in the past. It can be challenging, but extremely rewarding. We have seen amazing transformation in our adopted dogs who have been with loving families, and it is our goal to provide all of them with the same opportunity. We are at our happiest when we see photos of our adopted animals smile with the new adoptive family, and we hope to find Bobby a loving family who would do the same.
