Bo-I1891 German Shepherd Dog Anoka, MN

April 15, 2020 we have discovered he has to be in a home without a cat. He has been gentle with small children. But with all older, senior dog, small children need to be supervised when around the dog. At this time he is in a foster home with a sweet, female dog and a fenced yard. He is sweet and we are wanting to find him a furever home.

September 22, 2019 update. Bo is the sweetest male German Shepherd. He is waiting for his furever home. Very clean in the house, plays with toys, but is dog selective when being around other dogs. He can be an only dog and would be very happy. If he were exercised enough a fenced yard would not be necessary. He is now 10 years old and his adoption fee has been reduced to $100.00.

March 30, 2019 update. Bo has made much progress. He is learning to walk on leash. His house manners have improved greatly. His foster Mom says he is a love. He has never had kindness before coming to rescue, so learning that humans are kind, wonderful people and will not inflict harm to him has helped him to heal on the inside. He gives kisses and loves to be pet, brushed or hugged.

Feb 2019 update. He is learning to be a house dog and get along around other dogs. He is sweet and sometimes over reacts when he sees other dogs being petted he gets jealous. He will make all kinds of sounds and beg for his attention. This is all good and he will learn that he has no reason to be jealous because he will get his attention too. He is very strong and needs training. He can learn at his age, you just have to be a strong person to work with him. "A very gentle soul in a big body". He now "never misses a meal, but readily eats when food is offered". Another nice change in this big senior guy.

Bo update. He is eating when food is offered. Bo is sweet, wags his tail non-stop and ready to meet new people. He gives kisses and loves everybody he meets. He has made so much progress since arriving in MN and his foster home. It is like watching a puppy seeing things for the first time. Very heart warming.

Bo is a sweet, senior who has not been treated very nice in his previous life. Having lived many months of his life in a shelter previously, he is learning how nice it is to be in a house. Bo has a DOB: 11.7.09. He is not as reactive to other dogs as when he first was saved and in a foster home in KY. He needs patience and love. He would love long walks or at least a big secure yard where he is able to run and play. His adoption fee is $100.00.

Now in MN, he is most interested in checking out every part of a home. He has not reacted to any dog. We are giving him canned dog food mixed with his dry dog food to encourage him to eat. He is very sweet. His eyes tell me he is very lost and needs a quiet home where folks can show him love, patience and lots of TLC. He is being fostered with a female dog and doing awesome. We are still learning about this sweet elderly guy who has lots of energy and acts like he is a few years younger.
