Bo Duke Great Pyrenees Kiowa, OK

Somehow Bo Duke has been flying under people's radar and it is time to change that. This handsome 7-month-old boy is such a GEM!

We first came across Bo Duke when someone reached out to us about a couple pups needing placement. The owner was having trouble placing them and as the pups got bigger and bigger they required more and more food and care. He could no longer keep them and reached out for help. In turn, that person reached out to us and we gained four fluffy butts shortly after. Bo spent the first few months of his life as an outside-only dog. He stayed in one pen and that was all he knew. He didn't go anywhere. He didn't meet new people. He wasn't exposed to anything new. All he knew was that pasture so when he first came to us you can expect that he was quite terrified. Even the car was new to him! However, this boy has settled in amazingly well in the time he has been with us.

Do you have a kid who seems to always be in bed? Well, that is Bo Duke except for him it is the couch. I am sure he wouldn't mind making himself comfortable on the bed as well though if said kid wanted a companion to lie in bed all day with! Bo Duke is truly the prince of couch potatoes. He isn't selfish with the couch though. In fact, he encourages others to come up and cuddle with him. Bo has been spotted cuddling other dogs and his people on the couch. Bo wasn't prepared for this to get out but he has even been spotted cuddling up close to the cats on the couch! What can we say, this boy is truly just a couch love! ♥

Now, I have probably made you think that Bo Duke is a lazy bum...and while he is that, he isn't opposed to playing with the other dogs and going out and doing things...with a little encouragement of course! Treats are always encouraged and the promise of lots of pets. Bo is more of a homebody and would be happiest with a low-key family. Now if they like to host parties Bo would be sure to say hello to everyone and squeeze his big ole polar bear self on the couch with them. Fair warning though, it won't be long until this boy is passed out probably in some ridiculous position looking like a complete dork. Bo also wouldn't be opposed to shorter walks but probably would wonder end up plopping down mid-hike somewhere and leave you panicking that you will have to pick his 60+ butt up and carry him back to the car.....talk about a workout!

Bo has good house manners and is potty trained. Like I said, he is a pretty low-key dog. He would be the perfect dog for first-time dog owners or even someone who would rather spend the day watching movies than constantly running around all over the place.
