Meet Bo
Bo is a three year old piebald dachshund. He's a smaller little guy at 11 pounds. He is shy to start but can quickly be won over with a gentle hand and a friendly voice.
Bo found his way to the rescue after his owner passed away. A kind family member ensured he would find a good home and cared for Bo until we were able to take him. This boy was very loved in his former life.
He does enjoy other friendly small/medium dogs and will play or cuddle if encouraged by the other dog. He is still working on potty training but is good about going outside if let out regularly. However, he doesn't like to linger in the grass.
Bo has his initial vet visit for vaccines and bloodwork the first week of August. We do not expect that he will need a dental at this time, but we will leave that up to our vet. He will likely be adoptable in mid-August.
If you wish to be considered, please apply on our website:

Adoption criteria:
1) Friendly companion dog(s) who are gentle and/or playful
2) Owners that understand Bo is shy to start but will warm up with time. New situations should be approached with patience and understanding.
3) Home with a staggered schedule so Bo is not alone for long hours
4) Fenced yard
