Meet Bo
If you have a soft spot for the elders of our GSD world, you are going to love Bo!
Bo joins us from our shelter friends in St. Joseph, Missouri. He'd been turned in by his owners when they could not find a home for him. When Mr. Handsome here ended up on the euthanasia wait list, his shelter angels set into motion to find him rescue. And they did!
This super-sweet boy is 12 years old ... but don't tell him that! Since coming into foster care, Bo has proven he's quite agile when he wants to be with his new foster pack--human, canine, and feline alike! This handsome gentleman found his way over and around TWO gates while his fosters were letting him settle in before meeting the pack. Nope! Bo said, "I am part of this pack. I'm coming in!"
Bo is a gentle boy. He does have some hip displaysia but needs zero assistance getting up, down, or around (including those darned baby gates). He takes supplements and medication that keep his elder statesman joints quite happy.
Bo has earned his soft spot and comfortable retirement . He loves nothing more than to snuggle with his humans and enjoy the company of his foster pack. Give him a ball to chew on a soft blanket, surrounded by dogs of all sizes (and kitties, too!) and he is one happy fellow.

Our Adoption Fees:

*Dogs and puppies 12 months old or younger: $400
* Adult dogs over 12 months of age: $350
* Senior dogs over 7 years of age qualify for our "Seniors FUREVER" program! Seniors are special to us, so we offer two options:
(1) If your heart has a special place for the seniors, you can adopt a senior dog for the regular adoption fee of $350 and this becomes a perpetual fee. You can adopt another SGSDR senior dog at any time from us in the future at NO CHARGE.
(2) If you aren't sure about your future adoption capacity, you may adopt your SGSDR senior dog for a reduced adoption fee of $250.
