Meet Blue! He is a 2 1/2 year old, active boy who needs a home that love to walk and play and run and think and do lots of fun doggie things! He's a smart boy and will blossom in a home who knows the breed and keeps him active and thinking.
Blue is not a big barker indoors or out. He is, of course, totally deaf, so things that may set off other dogs he won't be bothered much by. Because Blue knows many hand signals he gets along in the world just fine.
He is an affectionate, snuggly boy who loves to cuddle both on the couch and in bed with his people! He gets along well with other dogs but also loves the humans in his life. Blue is wary of strangers and does need time to warm up, once he knows you, knows everything is good, he is a happy, affectionate boy. Nipping and mouthing can be common with herding breeds and when Blue get highly aroused, or is under stress/high anxiety he can get nippy. His foster parents gave his space and time when he arrived and found that after day 2 he was his true happy, snuggly self. A home who understands he WILL need time to decompress when he arrives is crucial for Blue. Blue will only be adopted to a home where everyone is over the age of 18.
Blue can be a little guardy of food and treats with other dogs but please know that feeding him in his crate, or a separate area on is own, will make this a non-issue.
Blue is truly a happy boy who loves to play with his toys, with his doggie pals, and with his humans. He will be a loyal friend to someone who understands Border Collies!
