Blue's Story

Volunteer Perspective – Time with Blue
*Available through Foster-to-Adopt*

Blue is such a cool, unique dog with a personality all his own. He’s five years old, playful, smart, and full of little quirks that make him easy to fall for. He doesn’t always show his affectionate side right away, but once he does, he’s all in. He’s also a staff and volunteer favorite for his goofy, fun personality.

On our first Doggy Day Out, he hopped right into the car and made himself comfortable. We spent time on the trails at Bear Creek Park, and he proudly carried his squeaky pig around like it was his job — and honestly, it kind of is, because he LOVES his toys. He’s athletic and agile, the kind of dog who can jump right into whatever adventure you have planned.

I took him out again recently for a long drive while I worked on some assignments, and that’s when his affectionate side really came through. He settled in peacefully, rested his head in my hand as we drove, and gently tapped my arm with his paw whenever he wanted a little more affection. His sweet, grateful eyes were truly heart-melting.

Blue can be selective with other dogs, so a meet-and-greet is recommended if you already have a pup at home. He is available through Foster-to-Adopt, so you can get to know him outside the shelter environment and make sure he’s a great fit for your family.

Blue is a loyal adventure buddy just waiting for his person. Maybe you are the one he’s been waiting for.
