Meet Bloom

Are you looking for a sweet southern belle? Look no further - My name is Bloom, I am a 6 year old (Female) Bloodhound mix hailing from Tennessee. I have the softest floppy ears, a beautiful rust colored coat, and hazel PUPPY EYES that will melt your heart.

My temperament can be described as very gentle, sweet, subdued, & calm. I don’t bark or howl. I can have some independent tendencies, like sniffing around the backyard on my own - but I like knowing my humans are nearby. I scratch at the door when I’m ready to come back in. I am housebroken & crate trained. I’m currently fostered with 2 senior shih tzus.

True to my breed, I LOVE to sniff around the backyard and spend time outdoors - so I am looking for a home with a fenced backyard. I’m a gentle leash walker - I generally don’t pull and I take direction very well. I do have some leash reactivity to other dogs, but I am working on it. After I’m done sniffing around and going on my walks, I like to lay on my dog bed and snooze.

They do call me Bloom because I take a few hours to open up & then I thrive! When you first bring me home, I’ll be a little nervous and shy in my new surroundings. I warm up quickly once I see that you’re gentle & I get familiar with my new space.

The adoption fee for this dog is $425. She is being fostered in White Plains, NY

To adopt this pet, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt

All of our dogs come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the dog you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where dogs can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting a dog in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Thanks so much for caring about a needy animal!
