Blanche is a gentle, loving, Golden Retriever who is approximately 4 years old. She grew up as a puppy-mill-momma and was recently forfeited to us. She loves cuddling and will be happy laying next to you for hours! She also likes to play tug-of-war and trotting around with her favorite toy in mouth.

Living in a house with people and technology is still a new (and sometimes scary) experience for her; she will need a family that is patient and can show her lots of love. She would also benefit from having another dog in the house to teach her how to play and live the doggy lifestyle.

Blanche weighs 70lbs. She is housebroken and can walk on a leash (but may get scared and pull at times). She does well with other dogs and is okay with older children. We are not sure how she does around cats and other small animals.

Blanche also suffers from Entropian (rolled eye lids) in her left eye, which is why you see her with tears in the photos. This is correctable with surgery & will be done at the same time as her spay.

We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally we require physically fenced yard for dog/pup to play in safely. Exceptions are sometimes made to this requirement but is up to the foster and more often done for the small breed dogs.

All our dogs have been treated with dewormer; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchipped; and examined by veterinarian plus given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed at time of adoption. Dogs will be spayed/neutered thru us prior to finalizing any adoption.

We provide information on dogs age and breed based on what we are told by person surrendering dog or vet's best guess. While we try our best we cannot guarantee that this information is 100% accurate and can often be best guess in case of our lovable mutts.
