ATTENTION.. The adoption donation we have for each dog allows us to continue to save their lives. Without the adoption donation we could not continue to save lives. The expense of running an animal rescue is astronomical. Our rescue gets very little donations and we are not federally funded like shelters. We get every dog spayed or neutered, dentals and blood work if needed, all shots including rabies dapp, bordatella, microchip, dewormed, heartworm tested, up to date on heartworm/flea preventatives, vet exam, medical care including surgeries plus emergency care.. All adoptions also include dog food, harness, leash, 30 days health insurance, lifetime training tips and low cost cage free boarding based on availability.

We are now accepting applications on Blackie. We rescued this beautiful sweet boy after we received a plea from a county shelter. Blackie was not doing well there as he was so scared. Blackie was fearful when we first brought him to our rescue. Our foster reports now Blackie loves him. It did take a few days before he trusts. Blackie is a 4 year old is a tri color 15 lb Doxie-Pin! Min Pin Dachshund mix!. Blackie is very cute and just craves your love! Once he trusts you Blackie is your shadow. Blackie is neutered, up to date on all shots, and heartworm and flea and tick preventatives, dewormed and microchipped! Our foster said he will be scared at first but warms up very fast. He really falls in love with his owner. Blackie will be your shadow! We do want an experienced owner who will be committed to Blackie and allow him to decompress.
Our foster said the following is needed for Blackie to be happy in his new home. An experienced small dog owner and you must live in the Tampa Bay area as we do home visits on every adoption. Sorry no children. Please only apply if you are a match.

PLEASE READ Update from foster dad..We rescued Blackie after the county shelter said he would be euthanized. Blackie was very scared at the shelter. Once he warmed up after a few days he follows me around everywhere. Blackie loves to cuddle and take naps with me. Blackie is not a boring dog and has a strong personality. Blackie loves to walk in the parks and around the neighborhood. He loves running and playing in the yard. He is lightening fast too! Blackie is housetrained. I have 2 small dogs and 2 cats. He is great with the dogs and tolerates the cats. You will love Blackie. I can tell he did not have a good home so we want the very best for him.
