Hi! My name's Blackie, what's yours? I'm a super friendly senior girl who is looking for someone to love for the rest of my life. I may not be the cutest, or the most playful pup at the shelter, but I'm deserving of love just like any young puppy would be!

I was brought to the shelter because my owner was no longer able to care for me. She was having some health concerns of her own, and was unable to care for Blackie as well. So she made the difficult decision to surrender me to the shelter.

I have some lumps and bumps that they say are typical for older dogs, but they're all just fatty masses...no cancer. The vet also said that I would benefit from losing quite a bit of weight, as it's difficult for me to get around now.

I'm a sweet older lady and I love everyone I meet. I just need someone who will give me the love and care I'm so deserving of for the remainder of my golden years. If you have room in your heart for a senior like me, please stop by the shelter and spend some time with me. Shelter hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit!
