Bjorn Mastiff Madras, OR

Bjorn is a purebred Armenian Gampr Armenia (it wouldn't let me put his real breed) imported from Armenia and then fell into the wrong hands and transferred to us from another shelter. He was bred to be a livestock guardian dog. He is not an apartment dog. He was born to work. Although he loves to be loved on, he is not your typical "pet". He is still underweight but he is gaining. He is currently at 130 pounds. He should be at about 160 or larger. He is very friendly. Like a big ol teddy bear. He tries to play with the little dogs thro the fence but we have not put him with other dogs due to his size. He might do well with a large female dog. In the working livestock dog world For a LGD he is pretty quite unless he is alerting us to visitors. But there job is to bark so you would have to take that in to consideration. He has little to no interest in being a very active dog. He spends his days lounging on a raised dog bed and playing with his collection of many stuffed animals. He loves to be scratched and loved on. This is not a very common breed so please do your research before applying. He is a large strong dog and he does eat a lot of food so you would need to be able to provide for his needs. We do not have any proof of any training he has received in being a livestock guardian dog and he was not used as such for the last several years. Come on out and meet the big guy and see if he's a match. You will fall in love with this big guys charm.
