Biscuit Wirehaired Terrier & Poodle Mix Lawrenceville, GA

Sweet Biscuit has been with us for a few months now. This 11-yr-old Terrier/Poodle mix came to us in horrific condition. Biscuit turned up as a stray and was brought to a county shelter. During intake, they discovered he had a microchip. A shelter worker called the number listed and a man answered the phone. He said that Biscuit was his “wife’s dog” and he would come to reclaim him, but he never showed up. We rescued Biscuit so he could get the medical treatment he so desperately needed.

Biscuit had one of the worse skin/ear infections we’ve seen in a long time. Poor buddy had been suffering for months (if not years) with what probably started as untreated flea allergies. Those morphed in to raging yeast and bacterial infections that left poor Biscuit feeling miserable. His skin was itchy, raw and crusty and looked like leather in some areas.

After many, many medicated shampoos and several rounds of oral medications, Biscuit is on the mend. It will be a while before he is totally healed, but he’s well on his way. Despite all he’s suffered, Biscuit has the most loving spirit. He holds no ill will towards humans and is happy to receive any kindness. Biscuit is great with other dogs and he doesn’t mind cats. He’s good with children, too. Biscuit is crate-trained and he does his best to not have accidents in the house. He is an older fella, so he needs frequent potty breaks and your patience and understanding when he occasionally falls short on his house manners.

Biscuit is fully vetted -- neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and deworming. The adoption fee is $200 (cash only, please). You must have an *approved* adoption application on file in order to be considered for this particular pet.
