Biscayne Rhodesian Ridgeback & Terrier Mix Lenoir, NC

These national park pups are excited to get out and explore with their forever families.

With a birthdate in Nov. 2021. Biscayne weighed 30 lb in April 2022. We've included a picture of mama Bronwyn. She weighs about 50 lb.

At Biscayne's spay surgery on April 25th she impressed the surgery team with her sweet and affectionate behavior.

She will be comfy in a 42" crate (as an adult) to allow her to sprawl, and is leash-savvy. She's house-trained when kept on a regular schedule.

Biscayne is a little more independent than her siblings. That doesn't detract from her affectionate nature, it just takes more patience for her to come to you. She likes polite dogs and ignores the cats in her foster home.

Whether dogs / puppies come in as strays or owner surrenders, we usually have to make our best guess as to birthdate and breed.

If adopted into a home with other animals, particularly cats, your new pet should be crated or secured when you're not available to supervise to insure a harmonious relationship.

A vet reference is required to confirm responsible pet ownership. Requirement is a minimum three year vet history documenting current / previous pets are spayed / neutered, kept up to date on core vaccinations, and on heartworm prevention. We suggest first time pet owners without a vet history look for an adult dog for companionship and to gain experience. Other rescues or your local government-run animal control agency may have different adoption requirements.

Adoption fee covers two vaccinations. Additional fees for 3rd puppy vaccination, refundable spay/neuter deposit, etc. may apply.

We are an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue. We receive no funding from agencies.

Not all foster dogs are available for viewing during public events at Tractor Supply (360 Blowing Rock Blvd) in Lenoir, NC. Available animals can be seen most Saturdays at Tractor Supply in Lenoir from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We recommend interested parties contact us to pre-qualify for adoption so their new furry family can go home once paperwork is complete.
