Meet Birdie - AR

Birdie is a female Bichon who was born in 2006 and weighs 17 pounds. Birdie is a sweet girl who came into rescue when her elderly owners could no longer care for her. When she first came into rescue Birdie was wary of strangers as she wasn't well socialized. In the time she has been in her foster home she has blossomed into a happy girl with a funny personality! Birdie gets along well with other dogs and immediately learned how to use the doggie door to a fenced yard. For all intents and purposes she is housetrained, only having an very rare accident. Since Birdie is still relatively new to being socialized, a fenced yard to ensure her safety would be best and she also loves having a yard to run and play in. She would also need time to become comfortable in her new home. Birdie will need a socialized brother or sister in her new home. Birdie is fine at home during the day and kids in the home should be 10 and older. While being in her foster home Birdie has had two seizures. They were very random and she hasn't experienced one in the last 6 months. There is no need for medication but is something we would want the perspective adoptive parent to be aware of. Birdie loves to sleep on the big bed but also does well being kenneled. Birdie is being fostered in Arkansas.
