Bingo's Story

Our adoption application can be found at the bottom of this pet's bio. Once your application is in, we can arrange a meet & greet with you and Bingo!

Bingo is currently in a foster home in Portland, OR and is eligible for meet & greets!

Meet Bingo!

Bingo is a 1 year old male plott hound / pitbull mix who currently weighs 45 pounds. Bingo & his brother were found roaming the streets in Houston. A kind Samaritan picked them up and took them home and we were able to enroll them into our rescue. Bingo is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered & ready to find a family to call his own!

As a young pup, we would describe Bingo as having a moderate energy level. He has his spurts of energy where he loves playing with his foster brother, but will also lounge around on his dog bed.

Bingo is initially reactive to other dogs he does not know. After a slow introduction (playing through the fence or taking a walk together) he will quickly become best friends with any dog!
He plays very well with his foster brother Leo and would love a doggie sibling to play with! His current family also takes him to doggie day care once a week and he does well there! Bingo is young and is still learning his social skills.
Though Bingo does require slow introductions with other dogs, he is a cuddly, loving and playful pup with a dog-sibling in the home.

Bingo is reactive to dogs while on a leash. Bingo has made a lot of progress during walks and can be distracted by food, but he needs someone to help continue to work with him. We are willing to offer 4 free training sessions to help any adopter be successful with Bingo!

Bingo would do best in a home without cats.

In his foster home in Houston, Bingo lived with children and did great! He has not been in a home with children since transporting to the PNW. Due to his playfulness, we would suggest a home with older children. Bingo loves to play and we wouldn't want his wiggly butt to knock over a small child.

Bingo is an incredibly loving dog. He is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. He is a social dog that appreciates canine company for play, tug, snuggles, and chase.
Bingo is learning new tricks and boundaries quickly. He is extremely food motivated. Bingo would make a great guard dog for a large yard or fenced property. He is loyal and protective of his family (human and canine) and a total goofball!

Bingo is fully house broken and crate trained. His current foster family leaves him out to free roam for short times away from the home, but will crate him if they are going to be gone for more than a few hours. He does well with being crated!

The only quirk Bingo has is he is scared when meeting new people. He is not a fan of quick movements or people sticking their hand in his face for him to sniff. Once he warms up to you, he is the sweetest pup! But he does need someone who will be patient with him. We are currently working with Bingo on building his confidence and he has shown great improvement! We are hoping for a family who will continue to help build his confidence. We are of course willing to pay for 4 training sessions to help set Bingo up for success with his new family. With his people, he is bursting with love! He just needs patience with strangers. I do emphasize, where Bingo struggles socially, he more than makes up toward his chosen family. Bingo is extremely affectionate and loving toward those he trusts. He loves to cuddle!

Bingo deserves a home with a loving and affectionate family. It would be best for Bingo to have access to a large outdoor space where he can run and romp, play and exercise every day. Bingo would do well with a dog companion that he gets along with. A family who has experience, patience, and time for working with Bingo’s developing social skills would be the best fit for Bingo.

Bingo is a sweet, cuddly, energetic, playful, protective, and joyful 1 year old pit mix pup. He is a responsive and quick learner who is very treat motivated. He loves to play fetch and tug. Bingo loves the outdoors just as much as he loves a snuggle on the sofa with his human and canine companions.

Interested in learning more about Bingo or applying to adopt him?
