SATURDAY, JUNE 28 from 12-3PM: DOG ADOPTION EVENT at PETSMART in OLATHE (119th & Strang Line) with Heart of America Humane Society. We’ll have several wonderful dogs there looking for homes!

BILLY is a super affectionate boy who's looking for love! He is a one year old Shepherd mix and he weighs 44 lbs. Billy is just a bit timid, but he's so sweet and he loves attention. He's also good with other dogs. He seems to be housetrained. Billy has a gorgeous coat that's in great shape.
Sadly, BILLY tested positive for heartworms. But please don’t let this scare you away! We just need to get him into a home during his treatment. The cost for the heartworm treatment is completely covered. We can provide you with more info about his heartworm treatment if you are interested in adopting or fostering him (we’d love to find him a foster home!). Once his treatment plan is completed, Billy will be able to live a normal healthy life with no restrictions!
ADOPTING A PET
We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. We are also open Monday through Friday by appointment. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.
If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.
Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).
