Meet Billie Holiday! Billie Holiday is all tuned up and ready for her furever home. Billie is an amazingly sweet dog despite her beginnings. We were made aware of Billie as she was one of a number of dogs on a property that was a breeding ground. The dogs were in terrible shape, the neglect and lack of socialization was heartbreaking. When Billie came into our care, she needed emergency surgery to remove her uterus as it was literally hanging out of her. She was underweight and her filthy body was infested with ticks. Billie was so fearful her tail never wagged and she had to be carried on her walks as she would freeze in fear. Once in foster, Billie refused to come into the house. Today Billie holds her head high and is a wiggle butt, she loves being in the house hanging out on the bed or couch with her people giving love and kisses. She will follow you around with a huge smile on her face and a happy bounce in her step. This mush ball deserves all the happiness life has to offer her. She would do best with an active dog who will play with her and show her the ropes. Billie currently lives in a foster home with multiple dogs and a few cats.
