Meet Big Red

Big Red loves to play with toys! He is a very handsome and loving boy. He is not a fan of other male dogs or cats. Please call the shelter and make an appointment to meet Red. Red was in a home for over five months and did very well in the home. They did have a female dog that he adored. Due to no fault of his own he is back at the shelter.

Although we love and care for all of our 4 legged residents as if they were our own it will take time for them to adjust to a home environment.

*What to expect when adopting*
Some pets might adjust sooner or some may take a little longer. Please be patient with them. Most of them we will never know their back story or what they have been through before coming into the shelter.

In the first 3 days they might be scared and not eat, drink or interact with you.
In the first 3 weeks they will start to recognize your family routine and start to show their personality.
It may take up to 3 months for them to build trust with you, get set in your routine and feel comfortable in your home.
