Betty's Story

Hi! My name is Betty. I spent quite some time lost and then in an outdoor shelter waiting for someone to scoop me up, so I promise I have a LOT of love to give. To make up for lost time, I absolutely love snuggling in different warm spots around the house, requesting bottomless belly rubs, and carrying my bone around with me. I know that the bathroom is outside and will stand by the door when I have to go out. I love being outside (especially if there are squirrels to chase), and while the leash is still a bit confusing for me, I'm starting to get the hang of it. I enjoy cozying up in my crate and never complain when it's time to rest.

My back right leg is a bit shorter than my others, so when I walk slowly, it looks a bit stiff and silly, but once I get moving you can't tell at allI'm still very fast! I am quite submissive with other dogs, but my playful/youthful side is steadily starting to emerge. I would be fine in a home as a solo dog or with others. I'm not sure about catsI do love to chase, so they may tempt me. I've met some young children and while I'm not sure why they are so small, I am polite with letting them pet me.

I can't wait to settle into my forever home as a sweet, lovable, grateful addition to the family!
