Betty is a precious older lady who loves nothing more than to lay beside you on the sofa or in your arms. Although she is blind and deaf that doesn’t stop her from toddling around the kitchen and family room on smell safaris. She is not a fan of long romantic walks but enjoys sniffing around the back yard with the other dogs in the household. She’s a sassy thing and makes her wishes known with little cries that make her foster family go “Awwwww!!”

Her medical needs are few- just a half a tablet every evening to keep her kidney function tip top and lots of cuddles. She needs regular grooming and brushing.

Betty would be best in a situation with older children and gentle dogs. An excellent companion for someone who likes to take things slow and relax. Just like Betty!!

Betty's owner became ill and could no longer care for her. She is quiet little girl who weighs 7 lbs. She loves to be held, but is also fine by herself. She is about 12 years old, totally blind because she is missing both eyes, and has the very start of kidney issues, so our vet recommended her to be on a prescription K/D diet to keep her kidneys as healthy as possible. She does great with other dogs. She is a mellow dog, and goes for short walks in the yard. She does sleep a lot.
