Meet Beth (CT)
Beth is a shy little girl who is ready to be treasured by her forever family. She is a 3-month-old Australian shepherd mix. Due to her rough start in life, Beth has had to spend some time learning that not all humans are bad, so she is still a very timid little puppy. While in her foster home with an older female dog, Beth has blossomed. She takes a lot of confidence from the other dog, so we are looking to find her a family with another dog.
Beth will need understanding adopters who have experience with shy dogs. Since Beth is easily startled, we are recommending that she be adopted by a family without young children. Once Beth does warm up, she's a playful puppy who is a joy to be around. She loves to lie beside her foster parents on the couch to watch TV, and to play with her toys. Beth, like all puppies, loves to chew anything that she can get her paws on, so her adopter must be patient and willing to teach her which items are ok to be chewed and which are not.
Beth is super smart. She learned sit in less than an hour. She's very eager to learn. She loves to share toys with her doggie friends. She will need a slow introduction to new dogs, because she tends to startle, but once she's used to the other dog, she'll follow them around like a shadow! Beth is crate trained. She gets along well with both dogs and cats. Beth is an absolute darling of a puppy. We cannot wait to watch her continue to grow and thrive!
Beth is available for adoption in both Texas and the northeast.
