Meet Bert(ADOPTED!)

**BERT HAS BEEN ADOPTED!** Bert is a delightful, mild-mannered, affectionate, and goofy little mixed breed looking for a home. Bert is estimated to be about 2 years old and weighs 32 pounds. He's a little low-rider, short, long, adorable, and appears to be a Basset/Beagle mix. This sweet boy came to us from an overburdened animal control facility in Kentucky. Bert is a little timid with new people and in new environments, but he warms up quickly. Bert is getting more comfortable in his foster home and is really coming out of his shell more and more each day. He is beginning to play and really enjoys cuddling. He is also getting more comfortable on a leash and enjoys his walks around the neighborhood. We think Bert will thrive with guardians who can provide her with lots of love, encouragement, and a bit of patience while he adapts to a new environment. We are confident, though, that Bert will adapt very well to being the much loved and pampered companion he deserves to be with just a little extra TLC. Bert does great with other dogs, is crate trained, and is doing excellently with his housebreaking when kept on a regular schedule. Like many hounds, he can be a bit vocal, especially when crated. We think Bert has a lovely singing voice, but your neighbors may not. Because of this, we feel he would do better in a single-family home as opposed to an apartment or condo building. Bert is neutered, up-to-date with vaccines, and microchipped. Bert is anxious to meet his forever family, could it be yours?

• Bert's adoption fee is $375. This fee covers the cost of his neuter, initial vaccines, microchip, and initial de-worming.
