Hi, I'm Bernie! I'm an 8 month, 30 lb old male Australian Shepherd/Lab mix. Sadly, my former owners took ill and could not care for me, so Louie's Legacy stepped up to make sure I get a good home. My foster mom says I'm really smart - I learn quickly. And you know what? I was in a home with a temporary foster before my foster mom got me, and even in two new environments in a very short span of time, I had no accidents in the house! None! Aren't I a good boy?

I love to play, and I love people. I'm protective of my people and pets, so can be a little grumbly when I meet new pups, but I warm up very quickly and just want to PLAY! If I had my druthers, I would play 1/2 the day and doze at my foster mom's feet the rest.

I get along great with my foster brother, and tolerate his rough playing very well. He's annoying, but I know he means well. ;-) My adoption fee is $400

All of our dogs come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where dogs can be seen during the week.
