Bernastine Issie Cairn Terrier & Yorkshire Terrier Mix Thompson's Station, TN

Bernastine Issie is an approximately 6 year old mixed breed girl that weighs 8 pounds. Issie is a sweet girl that lost one eye in an accident prior to coming into our program. The loss doesn't affect her in any way. I’ll start by saying that if your the take your dog running type….we’ll…you can keep looking. While I do put forth a huge effort, I think I look like a sprinter trying to run their way thru a field of mousetraps, and all that effort only gets me up to about 1.37 miles per hour. I am down for a car ride any time however. I can sit in the cup holder or something….no problems on the go at all. In fact, I’m down for just about anything you want to do. I’ll be right behind you when you’re ready to go. If your house has other dogs, that’s fine too. They don’t bother me and in fact, I find you can fit two dogs on one dog bed to snuggle better if my parent is busy. I’m pretty much guaranteed good company with a positive attitude, I can sit in your lap, at your feet, next to you….whatever and I don’t require much maintenance. I don’t know what type of hair this is I have, it’s long, it’s short, it’s hairy, it’s bald….who knows, maybe the style will catch on but until then I never worry about it, it’s maintenance free and it fits me fine, and I’m overall a healthy house partner in spite of missing a few teeth and stuff. I figure things out quick enough, I can manage a medium doggie door although it looks like I’m going thru an airport hanger with my big ears, and I’m quite certain the Amazon delivery guy is scared to death from my ferocious bark that exceeds the volume of an I phone ring. You’ll find I have a lot of love that far exceeds my size in an easy to manage package no one could dislike. This sweet girl will do best in a relatively quiet home with grown ups.

Bernastine Issie is up to date on shots and preventatives and is microchipped. Her adoption fee is $250 plus any additional donation you feel appropriate. Our adoption fee is set to a level to make adoptions happen. They do not cover our costs. Thank you for your generosity and interest in our dogs!

All dogs adopted locally through SGDR receive a free six-week session of obedience classes and a lifetime of behavior support through our Project REWARD program with trainer Charlotte Blake.
