Meet Bernard

Meet Bernard he was born on 05/06/2021 and will be available to go to his forever home on 07/01/21. Beni and her brother Bernard were born at our foster's home in San Diego and they will have been dewormed, vaccinated (1st round) and chipped before leaving to their forever homes. Spay/Neuter and rabies will be covered by our rescue at our contracted vet.

PLEASE NOTE: Breed mix info is the best guess of ScratchMyBelly and our vets. There is no way to know for certain what any dog's breed mix is without a DNA test, so we have no way to know whether or not this dog is "hypoallergenic". Since he/she is a mixed breed, and could have as many as 4-5 breeds in his/her mix, it is safest to assume this dog is NOT hypoallergenic.

Puppies will NOT be placed in homes in which they will be left alone for several hours, puppies need socialization and attention to grow up into an amazing well adjusted pet.

Sorry no kids under the age of 8 yrs old, we believe in teaching kids responsibility however we have seen too many cases of unsupervised kids dropping puppies on the floor resulting in bad breaks.

Homes with doggie doors will not be approved, sorry we are seeing a lot of problems with unsupervised animals and wild life.

We require a Home Check to set you & our Dog up for a successful transition into his/her furever home. This is only about the safety of the dog & in no way a judgement of you or your home. Our contract states that should you not want our Dog for ANY reason we will happily take our Dog back into our Rescue.

*WE NEED AN ADOPTION APPLICATION TO START THE PROCESS*

1. Submit Application
Go to our website www.scratchmybelly.org/forms. Your application is not a guarantee of placement, our process is not first come, first serve and we have the right to refuse the application. If you “rent” please make sure you check with your Landlord you can have a pet prior to submitting your application, many landlords have weight and/or breed restrictions.

2. Interview
We endeavor to make sure we are matching you with the right dog so a phone interview helps to insure we are all on the same page.

3. Meet the Pet
We can Meet n Greet at Home Check or you meet the foster. Every situation is different. We try to accommodate each on a personal level.

4. Home Check
We check for safety for the dog. We know our dogs well & can spot a potential problem quickly. We also call this a meet n greet.

5. Sign Adoption Contract
Contracts are signed the day of adoption, we accept PayPal to the Rescue Group & the Dog goes to his new home.

Due to the hundreds of inquires we cannot guarantee anything. ALL THE APPLICATIONS ARE SENT TO THE FOSTER FOR REVIEW. IF THE FOSTER CHOOSES YOUR HOME FOR A PUPPY, SHE WILL "CALL YOU" WITHIN FIVE DAYS OF RECEIVING YOUR APPLICATION. OTHERWISE, YOU WILL NOT HEAR FROM THE FOSTER.

It does not help us if you are sending us multiple emails, texts and calls.
We are a volunteer based rescue organization.
