Benji Yorkie Poo Mix Rochester, MN

Hello, my name is Benji and I am a 15-year-old YorkiPoo. I was surrendered when my owner was no longer able to care for me due to health issues. I am a fun little guy! The only health issue I have is a slight Heart Murmur and it has been cleared by the vet, and I take no medications. My teeth have been cleaned, and I had some teeth removed, but Hey! I am 15 years old. I do have slight separation anxiety, but we are working on that. Right now, I am living in a home with my foster brother, a 2-year-old Maltese. We like to play together, and I am now starting to chase him around the house. He is a cool little guy to hang out with.

About me, I love to cuddle, watch TV and play with some toys. I would love to hang out with you and your family - if you have another dog that would be ok. My foster mom tells me "I am a good catch". Benji's vetting included a Senior wellness blood panel and dental cleaning with extractions. His heart was x-rayed, and he does have a 2 out of 6 grade heart murmur. No medication is needed at this time, he is not currently showing any symptoms. His heart disease is most consistent with chronic degenerative valve disease, which is a weakening of the heart valves that we see commonly in small dogs as they get older.

Benji's adoption fee is $250.

- Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Please note that SDR is philosophically opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, it must be charged.
